Maritime inventory routing with transshipment: the case of Yamal LNG

Abstract The LNG-ADP problem is a tactical planning for creating an annual delivery program (ADP) liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer. An ADP specifies the departure dates of LNG carriers as well at different customers period 12–18 months. can be formulated maritime inventory routing problem, it important requirement to plan deliveries such that levels are kept within minimum and maximum limits production facility. Inspired by case Yamal LNG, we propose novel discrete-time formulation with transshipment intermediate storage. Our also allows waiting unloading ports. solved using rolling horizon heuristic (RHH) based on project. We study impact RHH configurations run time solution quality. results show central shorter than forecast provides best objective function, whereas longer improves time. explore effect allowing Waiting does not necessarily improve function value, despite increasing space. However, observe reduction in instances where allowed.
